TThe HCD (Human Centered Design) Certification
HUMAN CENTRED DESIGN CERTIFICATION: PRODUCT & ORGANIZATION
Implementing user-oriented processes (HCD) in specific projects (ISO 92141-210) or in your company (ISO 9241-220) significantly increases the possibility of obtaining products with superior ergonomic qualities. The scientific literature has actually demonstrated a return-on-investment (ROI) that can reach 500% when associated with the application of the Human-Centred Design process, linked to:
For this reason, the certification of the HCD design processes allows to highlight, also in tenders, the implementation of the ergonomic quality in all phases of product development. |
THE HUMAN CENTRED DESIGN CERTIFICATION
The HCD (Human Centred Design) Certification allows to demonstrate that the DESIGN PROCESS implemented by the company complies with the provisions of the harmonized ISO 9241 standard, recognized in most countries.
The HCD (Human Centred Design) process can concern two areas:
A. HCD PRODUCT DESIGN, which shows that the design of the product complies with the design principles described in ISO 9241-210. This certification is accredited BY ACCREDIA and closely linked to the designed product, and aims at highlighting the compliance with ergonomic principles and the active involvement of users in all phases of the product design and testing process. ErgoCert carries out specific audits aimed at verifying the presence and conformity of adequate outputs for each phase of the HCD process (planning, study of the context of use, definition of requirements, design and iterative testing). If the design of a product is HCD 9241-210 certified, and the same product has also obtained the ErgoCert Product Certification, the latter will obtain an additional star in the rating of the certified product.
