​The only certifying body in Italy which deals specifically with ergonomics, in 2005 ErgoCert obtained the SINCERT accreditation, thus perfecting its methodological standards, with the purpose of  carrying out Regulations and Technical Specifications able to guarantee objective, scientific, and specialized ergonomic evaluations.

In 2008, having achieved a solid operation and management setting thanks to the accreditation, the ErgoCert partners decided to voluntarily waive the SINCERT accreditation, wishing to expand the services offered to the customer companies and to forge a significant scientific partnership with the University of Udine.
As a matter of fact, in 2009, following this restructuring, ErgoCert obtained the prestigious status of Academic Spin-Off of the University of Udine. This implied the establishment of a legal entity in partnership with the University of Udine, with the purpose of promoting collaboration between the university research facilities, the production sector, and the local institutions, in order to support research and spread new technologies. Being a Spin-Off, however, also meant accepting to submit to constant checks - on the part of the University of Udine referee - of the procedures, the methodologies and the tools used daily in ErgoCert, thus offering an additional guarantee to the customer companies, and giving them the possibility to avail themselves of highly specialized and scientifically correct services in the area of ergonomics and related disciplines. All of this meets the current needs of the market, imposing new ways of working and new visions of the future.

For this reason, in 2012, ErgoCert evaluated and accredited several subjects in the area of ergonomics and related disciplines, creating a network composed of high-level professionals operating both nationally and internationally.

In September 2014 ErgoCert was acknowledged by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region as a "Highly qualified body in usability tests and ergonomic research, evaluations and certifications of products and workplaces".

In 2017 the experience as a Spin-Off of the University of Udine came to an end.

In 2018, on request of some of its international customers, ErgoCert has applied for a reaccreditation with ACCREDIA, in order to be able to issue a certification in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17065 international standard, valid for all the world countries registered with IAF (International Accreditation Forum).

​The Accreditation for product ergonomic certification was obtained by ErgoCert on December 2019.
